Pakistan International Airline (PIA) Thursday became the first international airline to fly to Fujairah, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

The flights were launched at the special request of the Emir of Fujairah.

The PIA flight carrying 168 passengers from Peshawar reached Fujairah in the afternoon.

At the airport, members of the royal family of Fujairah and other high-ranking officials welcomed PIA flight and CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik.

A traditional welcome dance was performed at the airport.

Immigration of all passengers will be completed in 15 minutes under special arrangements for PIA flights and special buses have also been arranged for PIA passengers which will provide free access to other cities.
