Expressing concern that the price hike had made the lives of not only the poor people but also of the rich people miserable, Raja Riaz, a member of the ‘estranged’ Jahangir Khan Tareen (JKT) group of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), on Thursday warned the PTI government that the group would be left with no other option but to devise a future course of action if the same situation persisted, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a special interview with 24News, he said JKT’s present approach was that of ‘Wait and See’.
He urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to hold his ministers ‘accountable', who as per his claim, were responsible for causing inflation in the country. “The ministers whose names are appearing in connection with the ongoing petrol crisis should be questioned regarding their role,” the ‘estranged’ MNA demanded.
Making it clear to the government that inflation had affected all and sundry in the country, and the legislators belonging to the ruling PTI were no exception, Raja Riaz urged the government to improve its performance; failing which the JKT group would think about the alternatives.
