While appreciating Imran Khan’s decision to not make objection to the military appointments made by the prime minster, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that the PTI chairman did a good job, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

Talking to media on Friday, the defence minister said if politicians kept on cultivating such an attitude, then the country could achieve political maturity. 

‘But if the politicians keep on fighting, then other institutions will take advantage of the situation and interfere,” Kh Asif said adding that politicians should follow the rules so that other institutions could not find an opportunity to cross the limit.

He advised the politicians that if they wanted to secure their space, then they should review their attitude.

He remarked that Imran took a U-Turn from whatever position he had got. He said Imran used to put blame on America and establishment (for removal of his government) but he himself retreated on these two issues. 

However, Kh Asif appreciated Imran’s acceptance of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s military picks saying if the PTI chief kept on adopting this attitude, it would bring stability to politics.
