Woman, daughter burn to death in Khairpur house fire

A woman and her four-year-old daughter were burnt to death after a fire erupted in their house due to an electrical short-circuit in Khairpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The incident took place in the town of Luqman, near the Khairpur railway station. 

Officials at the B-Section police station identified the victims as Sumaira Khatoon and her four-year-old daughter, Sharifan.

The house was completely gutted until firefighters reached there.

Residents of the area said that they informed the fire brigade team, but they failed to reach to spot timely.

 Police and rescue workers took out the charred bodies from inside the house and shifted them to the Khairpur Civil Hospital for a postmortem examination. 

The bodies were later handed over to the heirs.
