LB elections: Polling in 17 districts of KP to be held on Dec 19

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday announced the schedule for the first phase of local body elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the ECP releasing a declaration of the elections schedule announced that the polling in 17 districts of KP would take place on December 19.

As per the schedule, nomination papers for the local body elections in the KP would be submitted from November 4 to November 8, 2021.

The nomination papers would be scrutinized from November 10 to 12 and appeals would be filed from November 13 to 16. The Appeals would be disposed of by November 19.

The election symbols and final list of candidates will be released on November 23. The Local body elections will be held for Village, Neighborhood and Tehsil Council seats.

Polling will be held in Malakand, Bajaur, Mardan, Swabi, Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat, Karak, DI Khan, Bannu, Tank, Charsadda, Hangu, Lakki Marwat, Khyber, Mohmand and Haripur in the first phase.
