It appears that the Sindh government is faced with a shortage of vehicles as two ministers have returned to the provincial government their two official cars, saying they are ‘dysfunctional’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
While Department of General Administration and Coordination, on the other hand, has refused to give a Prado car to Provincial Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Engineer Abdul Bari Khan Pitafi that seems to be strengthening the impression that not many official vehicles are left in the Sindh government’s fleet.
Sindh Minister for Works and Services Syed Zia Abbas Shah Rizvi and Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Gian Chand have returned two Corolla cars to the provincial government.
On the other hand, despite Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah’s instructions, Department of General Administration and Coordination has refused to give Prado car to minister Pitafi on the grounds that no luxury car could be allotted to a minister or any provincial government official in the light of court orders.
Sindh CM had issued orders for the provision of car to Pitafi who had even written a letter to him for the purpose.
