Terrorist attack on mosque in Mardan, IB official martyred, 2 injured

Unidentified terrorists attacked a mosque in Mardan and martyred an intelligence officer on Sunday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, unknown persons entered the mosque in the Mardan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

They opened fire on the people present inside the mosque indiscriminately and resultantly, an official of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) was martyred on the spot.

Two other people also received some bullets on their bodies and got serious injuries. Locals immediately shifted them to the Mardan Medical Complex Hospital for treatment.

The dead body of the martyred IB official who is identified as Kifayat also shifted to the hospital. Police have started investigations.
