AFP seeks report over Arshad Nadeem's poor show at World Athletics Championships

Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) demanded report due to star athlete Arshad Nadeem's disappointing performance at the World Athletics Championships, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The AFP has demanded a written report from Salman Iqbal Butt by October 5 and he has also been directed to provide clarification on ten different issues in the report. In the report, Salman Iqbal Butt has been asked for details of Arshad Nadeem's training from September 2024 to August 2025. 

According to the details, the questions asked from Salman Iqbal Butt are that During this time, which expert coaches were involved in the training program and what strategy was made regarding Arshad Nadeem's participation in international events in a year? AFP also demanded explanation on Arshad Nadeem's non-participation in any edition of the Diamond League and details of which foreign coaches and trainers were contacted in a year, including the details of Arshad Nadeem's high-performance training in a year as well.

In the report, it is also demanded to give details, if any contact was made with the AFP or any other national institution in a year and also directed to include details of Arshad Nadeem's health and fitness in the report. Also the details of Arshad Nadeem's medical problems, his treatment and rehabilitation program have also been sought. 

In addition to the details sought, if any important steps have been taken, the details of the same should also be included in the report. Also demanded Arshad Nadeem's future strategy, suggestions and plans were also sought to move forward and get back on the path of success.

The AFP has directed Salman Iqbal Butt to submit his detailed written report by October 5. The Athletics Federation of Pakistan has also informed the Pakistan Sports Board regarding the report sought from Salman Iqbal Butt.
