Karachi court sentences Indian spy to life imprisonment 

An anti-terrorism court in Karachi on Thursday sentenced an agent of the Indian intelligence agency, RAW, to life behind bars besides slapping Rs150,000 on him in fine, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Assistant Prosecutor General Nasrullah Majeed said that an FIR had been registered against Muhammad Salim, who had been arrested from Marripur area of Karachi, for conspiring against the state of Pakistan in 2024. “Apart from that, illegal weapons and explosives had also been recovered from him,” he said, adding that the convict had also been handed a 14-year prison term under the Anti-Terrorism Act. 

“He was sentenced to a 10-year imprisonment for possessing illegal weapons,” the prosecutor said, adding, “During the interrogation, Saleem had confessed that he had spied for India.”
