Forces kill nine terrorists during sanitization action in North Waziristan

Security Forces have killed nine terrorists in an operation conducted in North Waziristan district on late Saturday, said an ISPR statement on Sunday.
Two soldiers of the Pakistan Army were also martyred in the gunbattle while five others received injuries.
After receiving intelligence report about the presence of the terrorists in Khaisura and Dossali areas of North Waziristan District, security forces swung into action aimed at sanitizing the area. During the confrontation and fire exchange, nine terrorists were gunned down and one was arrested.
Unfortunately, two soldiers also embraced martyrdom during the cause for the country, in addition to five injured.
Security forces later recovered heavy weapons and ammunition during search operation in the area.
The two martyred soldiers were Lance Naik Abdul Waheed, 29, who belonged to Muzaffarabad’s village Raj Kandi; while the other was Sepoy Sakum Dad, 33. He was from Abbottabad’s Changla Gali.
