Two female students of IBA Sukkur University have accused the university’s administration of sexually harassing the students, 24 News HD TV Channel reported.
Two students of IBA Sukkur University released a video to the media on Monday in which they levelled serious allegation against the university administration. They said the university did not follow any merit policy and alleged that in order to pass the exam, the students were forced to forge illicit sexual relationships with their professors.
They further alleged that the university’s girls hostel warden, professors, HODs, and even security guards were involved in this heinous act. They accused wardens Zoya and Maryam of torturing dorm girls.
The university is heading towards a clear path of destruction, they said.
In a video message, they appealed to the high ups to save the honour of the girls who were studying there. They said after the departure of ex-vice chancellor late Nisar Ahmed Saddiqui, the university’s state of affairs started deteriorating quickly.
They demanded of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and other law enforcing agencies take notice of the situation.
However, the university administration rejected these allegations terming them totally unfounded.
The registrar of the university said it looked like that these two students lost their mind after failing their exams. He said their baseless allegations had hurt the sentiments of other students studying here.
He advised them to concentrate on their studies and stop doing politics.
However, the university administration assured to conduct an inquiry into these allegations.
