Maryam now wants PTI govt to complete its term
It appears that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz is willing to allow Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government to complete its five-year term as in a TV interview she has said her party is not ready to take responsibility for the mistakes made by the present government, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
“PML-N will not let them escape punishment. I want the PTI to complete its term so that tomorrow the ruling party leaders could not make an excuse that they were not allowed to work for five years,” she said, and added, “The government, which could not deliver in three years, will not deliver even in five years.”
Meanwhile, in a video message for the people of NA-249, Karachi, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that she wanted to come to Karachi to directly communicate with them, but she preferred to stay back in Lahore because she did not want to put their lives in danger in these times of the pandemic. “The biggest issue you are confronting is the non-provision of clean drinking water,” she said, and added, “If you return party candidate Miftah Ismail to the National Assembly, he will ensure the provision of water to each and every house in the constituency.”
Maryam said if elected, Miftah would make sure that pumping stations were installed, parks were developed and other facilities were also provided to people of the constituency. “Whenever one thinks of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, the ideas of development, peace and prosperity come naturally to his mind,” she claimed.
She said it was Nawaz Sharif who had restored peace in the entire country, including Karachi. “By the grace of Allah (The Almighty), PML-N government gave the ‘city of lights’ Green Line project, which sadly could not be completed because of this ‘incompetent’ government,” she said, and added, “Similarly, LNG terminals were installed at Port Qasim and plants generating electricity from coal were completed in shortest possible time.”
PML-N Vice President claimed that if people of NA-249 would vote for Miftah Ismail, he would change the fortunes of that area. “Please, come out of your homes on April 29th, and while following all the standard operating procedures (SOPs) visit the polling stations and vote for the PML-N. I hope you will make a correct decision,” Maryam concluded.
