Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz will start a public campaign from Lahore on Tuesday (today), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the PML-N sources, Maryam will start visiting different areas of Lahore from today, and she will also meet the party workers at the office of PML-N leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar.

With the approval of party supremo Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N has decided to hold public meetings after Eidul Fitr that will be addressed by Maryam Nawaz.

Meanwhile, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb reacted to Fawad Chaudhry’s statement and said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan should answer the questions of the election commission about foreign funding.

“They [PTI leaders] hurl abuses and threats at those who ask questions from them. Imran Khan wants everyone to believe in his lies and stop questioning his corruption,” she deplored.

“They [PTI leaders] want questions of their choice and answers of their choice. Imran Khan wants the match, umpire and players of his choice where decisions take place according to his wish. Imran Khan wants the judge, lawyer and verdict of his choice,” she flayed.

“Imran Khan does not believe in Constitution or law; he considers himself the Constitution and the law. Imran considers himself the court, judge and police. He insults the court, accuses it and talks about conspiracy if the court asks a question from him,” she criticised.

“If the election commission asks questions from him, he first runs from those questions for eight years and then accuses the election commission and threatens to besiege it,” she lambasted.

The information minister also came down hard on PTI chairman Imran Khan for closing down TV channels and banning TV programmes and columns over asking questions from him.

She also castigated Imran Khan for putting political opponents on death row and violating the sanctity of the house and privacy over asking questions from him.

She blamed the PTI chairman for using every institution and authority for political revenge against the political opponents, harping on his narrative of the State of Madinah.

“For four years, despite all your efforts, you have not been able to prove any allegation against a single political opponent. You have not been able to give a single proof, but you are lying constantly. Such a person is called a mental patient whose place is mental asylum,” she stated.
