LHC judges appointed as syndicate members in 19 govt universities
As many as 18 judges from the Lahore High Court (LHC) have been reappointed as syndicate members in 19 universities across Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
The appointments were made following the approval of LHC Chief Justice Ms. Aalia Neelum, who herself will continue to serve as a syndicate member at the University of the Punjab.
Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh has been appointed as a member of both the Syndicate and Selection Board of the University of Education, Lahore.
Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan has been designated for similar roles at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza at Government College University (GCU), Lahore, Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi at Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan and Justice Faisal Zaman at Islamia University, Bahawalpur.
Additionally, Justice Masood Abid Naqvi and Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry have been selected as members of the Graduate Studies Committee at the University Law College, Lahore.
Justice Shahid Karim will serve as a member of the Board of Trustees at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
Justice Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal and Justice Rasal Hassan Syed have been appointed to the Board of Studies at the Department of Law, Government College University, Lahore.
Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhry will also serve as a syndicate member at King Edward Medical University, Lahore.
Further appointments include Justice Jawad Hassan to the Board of Studies at NADRA Hassan Law Department, Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore, and Justice Farooq Haider at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, as well as a member of the Board of Governors at Foundation University, Islamabad.
Justice Muhammad Waheed Khan has been assigned to Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, while Justice Asim Hafeez joins the Board of Governors at the National College of Arts (NCA), Lahore.
Justice Muhammad Tariq Nadeem will serve as a syndicate member at Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, Multan, and Justice Abid Hussain Chattha at UET Taxila.
Meanwhile, Justice Ali Zia Bajwa has been appointed to the Syndicate of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, and Justice Abher Gul Khan to the Syndicate of Lahore College for Women University (LCWU).
