Zardari emphasizes industrial cooperation, technology partnership with China
President Asif Ali Zardari visited Sany Heavy Industry in Changsha, Hunan Province, China, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
During his visit, President emphasized industrial cooperation and technology partnership.
Sany Group Chairman Tang Xiuguo briefed the President on the company’s modern manufacturing system, products and ongoing investment in research and development.
Changsha Vice Mayor Qian Lexia was also present on the occasion.
The visit reviewed the possibilities of cooperation, technology transfer and investment between Pakistan and China in the field of engineering and construction machinery.
The President was also given a detailed overview of the operations of Sany Heavy Industry Company Limited.
The President was briefed on the production capacity of heavy machinery and related equipment used in the construction sector.
The President was also informed about the company’s financial and operational performance.
The operating income for the year 2024 is $11.27 billion, continuous investment has been made in product distribution and innovation, and research and development capacity.
The President was also given a tour of the company’s flagship factory, which stands out for its digitally integrated manufacturing facilities, advanced automation and data-driven production systems.
The President was also briefed on the factory’s operations, high automation and its standards for modern industrial manufacturing.
The President appreciated the importance of wide integration of technology, modernizing industrial production and improving efficiency.
The President appreciated the production capacity, quality and technical capability of the Sany company.
The President stressed the importance of promoting cooperation in industrial technology, skills development and joint projects.
He said joint projects can contribute to Pakistan’s infrastructure and industrial development.
The President also highlighted the possibilities of cooperation in areas such as construction machinery, digital manufacturing, renewable energy and engineering.
Company Chairman Tang Xiuguo highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation, digitalization and international partnerships.
He said it is keen to explore opportunities to enhance cooperation with Pakistan in manufacturing, technology exchange and capacity building.
Senator Saleem Mandviwala, Senior Provincial Minister of Sindh Sharjeel Inam Memon, Ali Hassan Brohi, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh on Investment and Public Private Partnership Projects Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar and Chief Secretary Sindh, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong and Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi also accompanied the President.
