MPs join govt employees in donating salaries to flood relief fund

Following Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's appeal for help to the flood victims, parliamentarians Friday announced to donate their one month's salary to the flood relief fund, reported 24 News HD TV Channel.

They also expressed their solidarity with the flood victims, and together with the government, they will help the flood victims in every possible way.

Likewise, the employees of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad Capital Police have announced to help the flood victims.

The employees of CDA above class 16 have decided to give one day’s salary to the flood victims.

According to the CDA Chairman Capt. Usman, the one-day salary of overall employees of Grade 16 and above is Rs 40 lacs. He said that the district administration has also set up camps for the flood affected in different areas of the city. These camps have been set up in F6, F8, and F10 for the flood victims. He appealed to philanthropists to generously help the flood victims.

Likewise, Islamabad Capital Police on the instructions of Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan decided to give two days’ salary to Islamabad Capital Police officers from grade 17 to 22 to flood victims.

IG Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan said that one day's salary of officials from grades 1 to 16 will be given to the flood victims. He said that a camp was set up at Rescue Center G-8 under the supervision of DIG Security for receiving relief collections. The Islamabad Capital Police team will distribute the relief materials to the flood victims.  He said all the officers and men of Islamabad Capital Police are always ready to help their affected brothers.
