Shaheen Shah Afridi takes on Indian players… off the field

Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who has been ruled out of Asia Cup but is still with the cricket team in Dubai, met with some members of the Indian team.
Indian cricketers contacted Pakistan's injured star pacer Shaheen Afridi to inquire about his knee injury in Dubai on Thursday.
The Twenty20 Asia Cup 2022 will start from August 27 (tomorrow) with the top cricket teams from Asia in contest. Players from various teams are randomly meeting up with one another. Prior to the competition, the cricketers from Pakistan and India, two longtime rivals, also met.
The UAE will host the opening of the biggest cricket competition in Asia with the match between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka. There are six teams, featuring Pakistan and India, and they are all working tirelessly in their training sessions.
Shaheen Afridi has journeyed to the UAE amidst being injured in order to participate with his teammates in this prominent continental competition but on the sidelines only. Some of the team's younger fast bowlers may find it easier to handle the pressure of competing in such a major event because of his participation.
Shaheen Afridi was taking a break during the practice session when the Indian team members approached him. They included KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, Yuzvendra Chahal, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer, paying him a visit and inquired after his physical condition. The Indian cricketers wished him a speedy recovery.
The management and coaching staff of both sides also enjoyed getting together at the same time.
Cricket fans from all around the globe expressed their admiration for the earlier meeting between Virat Kohli and Pakistan captain Babar Azam.
