CM Maryam says 100 electric buses coming to Punjab from China
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that one hundred modern electric buses have departed from Shanghai Seaport for Pakistan.
Sharing this news on social media platform X, she said it is a major step forward in providing affordable, eco-friendly, and comfortable transport facilities to the people of Punjab. The Chief Minister said another fleet of electric buses will arrive in Punjab within a few weeks.
She further said that by December, the latest electric buses will be operational in every district of the province. Maryam Nawaz said the fare of these buses will be set at just twenty rupees per ride.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz returned Pakistan after successful visit to Japan. During her Japan visit, Maryam Nawaz mets top officials, visits various industries and minutely observed their various public welfare projects in Japan so that these projects could be implemented in Punjab.
Cooperation in the fields of education, agriculture, industry, and transport was also discussed. Research partnerships were agreed upon between educational institutions of Punjab and Japanese universities.
