Hezbollah rejects disarmament, demands Israel halt Gaza war
Hezbollah has made it clear that it will not lay down its arms, urging Israel to immediately halt its war in Gaza, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
In a firm message, Hezbollah Secretary-General Naeem Qasim pressed the Lebanese government to ensure that Israel adheres to the ceasefire agreement.
He categorically rejected both domestic and foreign calls for Hezbollah’s disarmament and integration.
Qasim demanded that Israel withdraw from Lebanese territory, release prisoners, and stop its attacks.
He stressed that Hezbollah’s resistance would remain a powerful barrier against Israel, preventing it from achieving its objectives.
“Israel will be stopped from fulfilling its aims,” the Hezbollah leader declared.
Meanwhile, US envoy Tom Barrack, after meeting Lebanese leaders, remarked that Lebanon had already cooperated in efforts to disarm Hezbollah, and now it was Israel’s turn to act.
