Sonu Nigam says he is ‘indebted’ to Attaullah Esakhelvi
Sonu Nigam said that Attaullah Esakhelvi holds great importance in his life and he is indebted to the latter.
In a recent interview, legendary Indian singer Sonu Nigam heaped praise on veteran Pakistani singer Attaullah Esakhelwi. He thanked and expressed his feelings of gratitude for Attaullah because Nigam started his career singing covers of the former’s iconic song Acha Sila Dia Tu Ne Mere Pyar Ka.
The Main Agar Kahoon singer said, “Definitely, he is a beautiful soul and holds great importance in my life. I had just started my career covering his songs. He called me and said, ‘Mr. Sonu, I am Attaullah Esakhelvi from Pakistan, and I want to tell you that you sang it really well,” said Sonu.
He continued, “I was just nineteen at that time. It was very kind of him. I pray for all those legendary singers who contributed to my success.”
Expressing gratitude, Sonu said, “I am indebted to him. I credit all my success to him, and Acha Sila was the turning point of my career, a song that was heard by every person in India.”
