Speedy car crushes 2-year-old girl to death in Kahna

A speedy car crushed a 2-year-old girl near Langra Phatak in the Kahna area of Lahore, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Police said that 2-year-old Fatima was playing with other children on the street in front of her house when suddenly the car crushed her, resulting in her death on the spot.
The traffic policeman who was performing his duty arrested the driver at the site of the incident and shifted him to Haloki Chowki along with his car.
Further investigation is still underway. 
Earlier in March 2026, police arrested a domestic worker accused of killing a 2-year-old boy by covering his mouth with a pillow in the Harbanspura area of Lahore.  
SP Cantt directed SHO Harbanspura Waqar Ashraf to respond immediately to a distress call received on 15. The suspect, identified as Anila, was promptly taken into custody  
Initial reports suggest that Anila committed the act after being scolded by the child's parents. 
A first information report (FIR) has been filed by the child's father, Muhammad Umar, naming Anila as the accused.
