Fog engulfed parts of Punjab late on Saturday, bringing life to a halt even in the provincial capital Lahore.

A death in the fog-related incident was reported in Shakargharh when a motorcyclist hit a car.  A man died while another two sustained in the accident.

Reports said fog engulfed Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Narowal, Shakrgarh, Wazirabad and suburbs.

Also, authorities closed part of the Motorway – From Lahore to Pindi Bhatian and Lahore to Sialkot – as fog reduced visibility.

A travel advisory was issued, calling for adopting protective measurements including putting on fog lights and maintaining a visible distance between the vehicle if travel is unavoidable.
