PML-N Secretary General Attaullah Tarar on Saturday advised against any speculations over PML-F leader Muhammad Ali Durrani’s meeting with Shehbaz Sharif at Kot Lakhpat jail, saying the party president wanted to see the PDM strong and united.
Tarar, in a tweet, mentioned that he had just returned from the prison after having a weekly meeting with Shehbaz.

It was Durrani’s personal initiative, he said, clearly implying that the imprisoned party president had nothing to do with the move.
These remarks were made after PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz earlier in the day told media in Lahore that Durrani wasn’t the first one to convey a message about initiating dialogue as the different sources like government ministers had been doing the same in recent weeks.
Replying to a question, she said one could understand how things were being managed, when the family members were not allowed to meet Shehbaz but all the restrictions had been lifted for others [Durrani] to send messages.
The PML-N leader noted that Shehbaz was loyal to and standing by Nawaz like a rock. If that wasn’t the case then he, not Imran Khan, would have been the prime minister, she remarked.
She made it clear that there won’t be any talks with or NRO for the bogus government, she made it clear a day after a similar statement yesterday by her and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
“People know everything,” Maryam and mentioned that the attempt to divide the JUI-F had backfired. Suddenly, unknown people are promoted in opposition parties and even given unlimited time by media, she remarked.
