Heavy fog covers Lahore, airport closed, flights cancelled

Heavy fog covered the Lahore airport area on Monday night. Resultantly, Flights' operation is temporarily suspended.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Allama Iqbal International Airport has been closed for all flights operation after a reduction in visibility limits.

As per the report, the visibility limit on the Lahore Airport runway was recorded at just 150 meters so it is closed for landing and take-off of planes.

The airport sources said the Air Sial Flight PF-148 from Lahore to Karachi, Flight PF-145 from Karachi to Lahore, and Flight PF-146 from Lahore to Karachi have been cancelled.

The flight of Serene Air ER-822 from Jeddah to Lahore was diverted to Islamabad while the PIA Flight PK-747 from Lahore to Madinah will be operated from Islamabad.
