PIA to rescue stranded Pakistanis in Ukraine via Poland

The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) on Saturday launched the flight operation to bring back stranded Pakistanis in a war-hit Ukraine, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
For this purpose, all the preparations have been made to send two flights from Pakistan to Poland.
As there are inadequate airport arrangements in cities near the Ukrainian-Polish border, especially in Lublin, for large aircraft operations.
The flights are likely to be landed in the capital of Poland. The flights will leave for Pakistan, after all the passengers will make their way to Poland.
The Pakistan Embassy is contacting the affected people, providing them with all the important guidelines and information.
PIA in a tweet said, “In coordination with Pak Embassy in Ukraine, PIA has planned repatriation FLTs for Pak Students stranded in Ukraine, the first 2 FLTs would leave tomorrow for Poland from where they will be repatriated to safety and united with their families. PIA always steps forward when the nation demands.”

PIA CEO Arshad Malik said that he spoke to Pakistan ambassador in Ukraine Gen Noel and discussed various options to recover our students through PIA.
He tweeted, “Airspace (Ukraine) is closed but working out various options In Sha Allah, we shall find a way, PIA is a call away.”
Ukraine has closed its airspace amid the ongoing Russia's onslaught with international media reporting that Russian forces are encircling the capital Kiev in apparent move for regime change in Ukraine citing security concerns.
