Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi presided over a meeting to review the arrangements of the weeklong Jashan-e-Baharan festival, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

CM Naqvi was briefed about the arrangements and programmes of Jashan-e-Baharan festival in Lahore and Faisalabad. 

The meeting was attended by the Provincial Minister Bilal Afzal, Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Secretaries Information and Culture, Higher Education, Local Government, Livestock, Commissioner of Lahore Division, Commissioner Faisalabad, DG Local Government, DGPR and other concerned officials and Deputy Commissioner Lahore. 

Provincial Minister Ibrahim Morada and Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad also participated in the meeting through video link. 

The dates for Lahore's Jashan-e-Baharan celebrations—March 5–12—and Faisalabad's celebrations—March 4–12—were also proposed in the meeting.

The mega event will feature a lot of entertainment for the general public, including sports, culture, tourism, flower and furniture exhibition, music, bird and pet shows, mehfil-e-samaa, horse dance, camel dance, food expo, heavy bikes show and fireworks. 

In addition, cycling and marathon competitions will be conducted in Lahore and Faisalabad, where children, women, athletes, and differently abled persons will compete.

Apart from that, there will be musical nights in which Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sahir Ali Bagga and other famous singers will entertain the audience with their mesmerizing vocals during the vibrant musical evenings.

The event will be held at Iqbal Stadium and University of Agriculture in Faisalabad wherein the students of GCU Faisalabad and foreign players will participate in sports events.
