Court reserves verdict on Fawad Ch’s bail plea

An accountability court in Islamabad on Monday reserved its verdict in post-arrest bail plea of Fawad Chaudhry, former minister from Jhelum, in a corruption case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Accountability Court judge Nasir Javed Rana reserved the verdict which will be announced later today at 3pm.


Former minister was arrested on the charges of corruption in development projects.


During the hearing NAB prosecutor pleaded in the court that Fawad Ch got monetary benefit in collaboration with the contractors therefore his bail request should be rejected.


Fawad Ch’s counsel Faisal Ch advocate told the court that NAB had not served any notice to former minister for investigation. He requested that court should reject NAB request and release Fawad Ch on bail.


After listening the arguments on both side, court reserved the verdict which will announced at 3pm.
