Seven injured in violent clash during wedding in Khanewal

A children's quarrel during a marriage procession in Khanewal escalated into a violent clash among adults, resulting in at least seven serious injuries in Khanewal on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, the fight initially broke out among children who were collecting money showered by relatives and friends of the bridegroom during the marriage procession.

As the intensity of the fight increased, elders also became involved, wielding daggers. The situation quickly escalated, leading to several people being injured due to stabbing.

In a video footage available to 24News, participants of the Barat (wedding procession) can be seen physically assaulting each other.

The severity of the injuries prompted the marriage hall management to seek assistance from the police.

The city police promptly arrived at the scene and managed to control the situation.

Rescue 1122 shifted the injured individuals to DHQ Hospital for medical treatment.

Additionally, two participants from the wedding procession were arrested and taken to the police station. Several other accused fled from the scene upon seeing the police approaching.
