Naagin Mouni Roy starring as Bhootnii together with Sanju Baba
Bollywood’s Sanju Baba and Naagin Mouni Roy will star together in the upcoming horror-action comedy titled The Bhootnii, according to Indian media reports.
Helmed by Sidhaant Sachdev, the film is set to hit the screens on April 18, also starring Palak Tiwari, Sunny Singh, Beyounick, and Aasif Khan in pivotal roles.
Bhootnii explores the horror-comedy genre with an amalgamation of heart-pounding action. A report stated that the audience is in for a thrilling ride, witnessing Sanjay Dutt in a sensational avatar.
The makers announced the film with a teaser, featuring Palak and Mouni in an evil avatars, while Dutt is believed to be playing the role of a ghostbuster.
Taking to Instagram, Sanju Baba shared the teaser, promising that the movie will deliver “horror, action, and comedy like never before.”
Mouni Roy is well-known for her role as Naagin in the popular Indian television series. She played the lead role of Shivanya in the first season and Shivangi in the second season of the supernatural drama. Her performance earned her widespread recognition and made her a household name in India.
Palak Tiwari, Shweta Tiwari's daughter, also shared the teaser. Tiwari made her Bollywood debut in Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in 2023 and has multiple projects lined up. She is also set to enter the OTT space with a series co-starring Maan Meri Jaan singer King.
King is making his acting debut in the movie, which also features, Sunny Singh, Beyounick, and Aasif Khan in significant roles.
The official details about the new show and its streaming platform are yet to be announced. However, according to a report, King and Palak Tiwari will star as siblings in the nine-episode series.
