PM Khan takes notice of new Nadra chairman’s appointment

Taking notice of delay in appointment of new Nadra chairman, PM Imran Khan has ordered the Interior Ministry to start the process at the earliest.
According to sources, the term of Nadra Chairman Usman Mubeen will end on February 7, 2021, however, the process of appointment of a new chairman has not started yet.
Prime Minister Imran Khan himself raised the issue in the cabinet meeting. Expressing concerns, the premier directed the Interior Ministry to start the process of appointment of new Nadra chairman.
The Interior Ministry sources said that the process of appointment of Nadra chairman will be completed on fast-track basis.
Usman Mubeen was appointed by the PML-N government in 2015 and then in 2018 he was extended for another three years.
