Robbers raped a woman and then shot her dead during a house robbery in the Shahdara neighbourhood of Lahore on Tuesday. 

The robbers took away gold ornaments and Rs500,000 from the house after committing rape-cum-murder in the house of Mirza Umar in Shahdara’s Lalazar Colony in Ferozwala Tehsil. According to the police, the woman was identified as Mubeena. She was home alone when four robbers barged in and held her at gun point. 

This is the third robbery-cum-murder in Shahdara in January so far. Police have failed to control crime in the area.
