Fight among student organizations reemerged in PU, stone pelting, several injured

A serious clash among three student organizations Wednesday reemerged in Punjab University resultantly several pupils injured.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, student organization the Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) went into a fight with the rival groups—Pashtun and Punjab councils.
The IJT workers were released from the jail on Wednesday and were warmly welcomed by the organization at the university gate.
The IJT workers marched through the IR department canteen deliberately where the rival groups’ students were present and chanting slogans to tease them.
In response to it, the Pashtun and Punjab councils’ students also started chanting on which a clash among them started.
Several students were injured by pelting the stones at each other. The police have reached the spot and controlled the situation.
Pertinent to mention here that two days ago on Monday, January 24, 50 illegitimate students of Punjab University (PU) who belong to Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) were arrested.
They were gathered in the sports department to ensure the expelled students took exams but the department's management refused to conduct exams of the expelled Jamiat workers.
They started a quarrel on which, the administration called the police. The arrested Jamiat workers were wanted by the police in various FIRs.
