After registering 7,195 and 6,357 coronavirus cases on Sunday and Monday respectively, Pakistan has recorded a further drop in the Covid-19 infections during the last 24 hours (Tuesday) with almost all indicators showing a slide in coronavirus statistics, showed the figures released by National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday morning.

Pakistan has reported another 5,196 coronavirus infections and 15 deaths during the last 24 hours (Tuesday). As per the NCOC data, after the addition of 15 new deaths the overall toll has now surged to 29,137 whereas the number of total infections now stood at 1,386,348 after adding the fresh 5,196 cases.

During the last 24 hours (Tuesday), 51,063 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 10.17 percent. The number of patients in critical care was 1,293.

During the last 24 hours (Tuesday), as many as 1,453 patients have recovered from the virus whereas the total recoveries stood at 1,271,087. As of Tuesday, the total count of active cases in the country was recorded at 86,124.

As many as 531,008 coronavirus cases have so far been confirmed in Sindh, 467,698 in Punjab, 186,537 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 120,813 in Islamabad, 34,032 in Balochistan, 35,734 in Azad Kashmir and 10,526 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Moreover, 13,119 individuals have lost their lives to the pandemic in Punjab so far, 7,753 in Sindh, 5,980 in KP, 979 in Islamabad, 752 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan and 187 in Gilgit Baltistan.
