Star all-rounder and batting firepower Shahid Afridi will not be able to play initial games of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) seven due to a back injury and his participation in the PSL matches is uncertain, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Afridi suffered the injury during a practice session yesterday and then amid strong wind his pain increased.  Quetta Gladiators Shahid Afridi also missed today’s training session.

Afridi will undergo a medical checkup from a private hospital.

Quetta Gladiators’ captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is yet to comment on who will replace the star cricketer.

All is set for the launch of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 7th edition as arrangements have entered the final phase for the mega cricket blast on Thursday (tomorrow) at 6:30pm at National Stadium Karachi.
