A fire broke out Thursday in the hand-planted forest of Head Balloki, Sarai Mughal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Former prime minister Imran Khan had started the plantation campaign by planting saplings here.

The reasons behind the fire could not be ascertained.

The fire affected most of Sarkanda in the forest.

It broke out within one acre, and it was brought under control, the Forest Department said.
