Gold sets new historic record at high rates in Pakistan

The price of gold Thursday witnessed a sharp increase and set a new historic record at high rates as the dollar continues to dominate against the rupee.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the price of 24-karat fine gold has gone up by Rs4,900 per tola.
With this flight of gold, the price of 24-karat gold reached Rs1,95,500 per tola which is the highest rate of gold in the history of Pakistan.
The price of 10-gram gold of 24-karat has also been increased by Rs4,201 to reach Rs1,67,610.
The price of 24-karat fine silver has also been increased by Rs50 per tola to Rs2,150 per tola.
In the international market, the price of gold per ounce has also increased by $11.
The international rate for gold per ounce has now reached $1,936.
It is worth mentioning that the Pakistani rupee sunk to a historic low of Rs255 against the US dollar as the dollar jumped up by Rs12 in the open market. The local currency plunged by Rs24.54 in the interbank market while the country's foreign debts multiply by over Rs20,000 billion.
