Imran urges people to exercise right to vote: Barrister Ali
PTI founder Imran Khan’s lawyer Barrister Ali Zafar has said the former prime minister asked people to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming general election.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, Barrister Ali was talking to the media outside the Adiala Jail.
He said: “Imran's message is that this is not an election in which a political party is disallowed to run its campaign. He urges people to exercise their right to vote.
“Through the election, real freedom will be achieved and the rule of law will be possible. People have to get their right back in this election”
Barrister Ali Zafar said: “Courts have to ensure the provision of our legal rights as lawyers.
He said: “It is impossible that the case runs quickly and justice cannot be served.”
He stressed: “The requirements of the law be met even if the case goes beyond February 8. The cases are not related to the election."
He added: “Candidates and tickets have been finalised.”
