Noor Muqaddam murder: Rally raises demand for justice

Activists of civil society took to the streets in the federal capital to show solidarity with the family of Noor Muqaddam, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.
The participants held a vigil, observed one-minute silence and prayed the Almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
A good number of women were among the participants. They raised the demand for justice and exemplary punishment in the case so that violence against women could be curbed.
Meanwhile, the capital police made more arrests including parents of prime accused Zakir Jaffer and Asmat Adamjee on charges of hiding evidence and abetting the murder. Servants Iftikhar and Jamil are too among the arrested.
The police took them to the court concerned that granted the lawmen four day remand.
