Former president and Pakistan People’s Party Co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari has turned 67. Born in 1955, Asif Ali Zardari served the country as president from September 9, 2008 to September 8, 2013.

He is in Dubai to celebrate his birthday with his grandson. PPP workers and supporters arranged special events to mark the birthday of their leader, paying tribute to him for his services in the field of politics.

His daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto-Zardari  rubbished rumors that the former president fled, stating: “If he did not run away for more than 11 years, why would he now?”

In Lahore, PPP office-bearers will mark their birthday at Liberty Chowk. Local leadership asked workers and supporters to reach Liberty Chowk at 6 pm.

Fireworks, horse dance, and cake cutting ceremony will be held at Liberty Chowk. Similar events are planned to pay tribute to the former president.
