President to take Pervaiz Elahi’s oath after Governor’s refusal

President of Pakistan Arif Alvi will administer the oath of Pervaiz Elahi as Punjab chief Minister on the directions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday
According to sources, President Alvi will administer the Punjab CM oath after a refusal from Punjab governor Baleeghur Rahman.
A special plane has reached Lahore to fly Pervaiz Elahi to Islamabad where the President will administer his oath.
Earlier, in its short decision, the SC directed the Punjab Governor to take the oath of Pervaiz Elahi by 11:30 pm as the court declared Hamza Shehbaz's election illegal.
The court ordered that if Punjab Governor refuses to administer the oath, the President of Pakistan should arrange or administer the oath of the Punjab CM.
Meanwhile, the gates of the Governor House in Lahore have been shut and no one is being allowed to enter the Governor House.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers have gathered outside the Governor House and are chanting slogans.
