Asia Cup 2025 schedule announced: India-Pakistan clash set for Sept 14

The schedule for the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2025 has been officially unveiled, with the high-voltage encounter between arch-rivals Pakistan and India set to take place on September 14.

The tournament will begin on September 9 at UEA, with the final scheduled for September 28.

The announcement was made by Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, who revealed the groupings and key fixtures.   

The eight participating teams have been divided into two groups, A and B. 

Group A: Pakistan, India, UAE, and Oman
Group B: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong

 The tournament will commence on September 9 with the opening match featuring Afghanistan and Hong Kong.

The second match, scheduled for September 10, will see India face off against the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The Pakistan-India showdown is expected to draw millions of viewers around the world when the two teams meet on September 14.

The group stage matches will determine the top two teams from each group, who will then advance to the knockout stage.

The grand finale is scheduled for September 28, where the top two teams from the tournament will face off for the championship title.

Mohsin Naqvi expressed confidence that the tournament would be a celebration of Asian cricket talent and sportsmanship, while also strengthening regional ties through the spirit of competition.
