29 citizens die, 203 injured in rain-related incidents in Punjab: PDMA

Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) stated that as many as 29 citizens killed and 203 were injured in various accidents due to rains in Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to PDMA spokesperson, 52 houses were partially affected due to monsoon rains and six cattle died due to recent rains. Punjab government is providing Rs1 million to Rs5 million assistance to the families of the deceased.

Most of the deaths occurred due to the collapse of dilapidated buildings.
