Nine suspects arrested in police encounters across Karachi as two die in road accidents

Police arrested nine suspects during a series of separate encounters across Karachi, while two people were killed in unrelated road accidents in different parts of the city, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to Karachi police sources, an exchange of fire in New Karachi led to the arrest of an injured suspect identified as Ghulam Qadir, also known as Wari, while his accomplice escaped.

In Liaquatabad, two injured suspects, identified as Zubair and Imran, were arrested following another police encounter.

A separate operation in Khawaja Ajmer Nagri resulted in the arrest of two suspects, including one who was injured during the exchange of fire.

In the Federal B Industrial Area, police arrested one injured suspect after an encounter, while another suspect managed to flee the scene.

Police also conducted two separate operations in District South, where three suspects were taken into custody.

In Aram Bagh, officers arrested two suspects, including one who was injured during a police encounter. 

Meanwhile, Boot Basin police arrested another injured suspect following an exchange of fire near China Port, while his accomplice escaped.

In a separate incident, a motorcyclist was killed after being struck by an unidentified vehicle near Godam Chowrangi in Korangi. 

In another fatal traffic accident, one person lost their life near the A-One Cotton Warehouse in the Port Qasim area.
