Two policemen shot as gun battle leaves dacoit dead in Karachi 

Two police officers were seriously injured during an exchange of gunfire with armed suspects in the Gulbahar Brass Market area, while one suspected robber was killed in the police response.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the rescue team said the suspects opened fire on the police, critically injuring two officers identified as Sohail and Imtiaz.

Police returned fire, killing one of the suspected robbers during the exchange. 

The identity of the deceased dacoit has not yet been released.

Rescue teams shifted the injured police officers to hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
