Pakistan and Indian armies held a flag meeting at Line of Control in Kashmir to discuss the implementation mechanism as per the mutual understanding, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to ISPR, a brigade commander-level flag meeting was held between Pakistan and Indian armies at Poonch-Rawalakot crossing point to discuss implementation mechanism as per the understanding
The meeting comes after the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) Understanding 2021. In February, the two armies had announced that they would stop the cross-border firing along the Line of Control from midnight of February 24 and 25 in order to have a peaceful atmosphere along the disputed border.
This was announced after a telephonic conversation between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) from the two armies over the hotline.
“In the interest of achieving mutually beneficial and sustainable peace along the borders, the two Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) agreed to address each other’s core issues and concerns which have propensity to disturb peace and lead to violence,” a joint statement had said at that time.
