Seemingly unaware of the court order in the MNA Jam Abdul Karim bail case, both Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid and Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Saturday tried to browbeat absconding PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim Jokhio nominated in a murder case from entering Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The interior minister in his presser in Islamabad today taunted at the opposition for its attempt to bring back absconding MNA Jam Karim from Dubai so that he could cast his vote during no-confidence motion. Resenting this move, the minister threatened that Jam Karim Jokhio would be arrested as soon as he landed in Pakistan.

On the other hand, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail wrote a letter to the Federal Investigation Agency asking it to put the name of PPP MNA Jam Abdul Karim Jokhio in the provincial identity card list, PLIL.

It looks so strange that both government men sitting at the helm of affairs and are calling the shots are unaware that Mr Karim Jokhio got a protective bail from the Sindh High Court till April 3.

The absconding PPP member of National Assembly approached the SHC through his attorney seeking exemption from his appearance in the trial court. Accepting his plea, the SHC court granted him a protective bail against a surety bond of Rs100,000 directing him to surrender before the trial before or till April 3.

A tortured body of Nazim Jokhio was found at the Malir farmhouse of PPP MPA Jam Awais in November last year. The MPA along with his MNA brother Jam Karim and others has been booked for allegedly killing Nazim as he had tried to stop his foreign guests from hunting houbara bustard.

Police nominated detained MPA and four others as accused in their charge sheet and shown MNA Jam Karim as an absconding suspect in the case.

In his letter to the DG FIA, the governor wrote that Jam Karim was nominated in the murder case of Nazim Jokhio in Memon Goth police station in district Malir.

The governor wrote that this step was taken in the best national interest to make sure the presence of the accused in the court.

The letter further read since the accused was absconding that’s why an immediate action was needed on this matter.
