Five flights of cash-strapped Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were cancelled from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Tuesday citing technical grounds, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The national carrier announced the cancellation of at least five flights out of total 13 flights to be operated from the Karachi Airport.

PIA’s Toronto-bound flight was cancelled from Karachi, while two flights bound for Islamabad from Karachi were also cancelled.

A flight to Quetta from Karachi and another one scheduled to leave for Lahore were also cancelled.

However, six PIA flights will be operated as per schedule.

Meanwhile, two PIA flights have landed at Jinnah Airport from Saudi Arabia.
