The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released a revised list of women candidates for upcoming Senate elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

On the orders of Lahore High Court, name of jailed PTI leader Sanam Javed was also included in the revised list.

For Senate 2024 elections to be held on April 2, there are two seats reserved for women candidates in Punjab, however, four women candidates have fielded their nomination papers for the elections.

The PML-N issued party tickets to Anusha Rehman and Bushra Anjum Butt while the PPP has given ticket to Faiza Malik. The PTI has fielded Sanam Javed as woman candidate for elections.
