35 Pakistani universities feature in QS World University Rankings 2026

A total of 35 Pakistani universities have secured positions in the QS World University Rankings 2026, reflecting the country’s growing presence in global higher education.

According to the latest rankings, 31 public and four private sector universities from Pakistan have made it to the international list across various disciplines.

The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) emerged as a leading institution, securing a position in the 201–250 band globally in engineering and technology.

Quaid-i-Azam University maintained its standing in natural sciences, also ranking within the 201–250 band worldwide.

In the field of business and management, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) recorded a notable achievement by securing a place among the top 101–150 institutions globally.

University of the Punjab demonstrated strong performance across multiple disciplines, including business, social sciences, and agriculture.

Meanwhile, the University of Agriculture Faisalabad ranked among the world’s top 200 universities in agriculture and forestry.

The inclusion of a significant number of Pakistani institutions in the rankings highlights the country’s progress in higher education and research on the global stage.
