Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has expressed satisfaction over the progress achieved in curtailing non-essential expenditures and improving resource efficiency, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Ishaq dar was chairing a meeting of the Committee for Monitoring and Implementation of Conservation and Additional Austerity Measures in Islamabad on Thursday.

During the meeting, the committee focused on assessing the effectiveness of ongoing initiatives to ensure fiscal discipline in the prevailing situation.

Dar reviewed the implementation status of previously approved austerity measures across ministries and provinces.

He also directed the relevant ministries and departments to further strengthen monitoring mechanisms, ensure strict compliance with prescribed guidelines, and ensure fiscal discipline.
